Man stabbed while riding bus
At 8:48 p.m. Sept. 28, police responded to the intersection of East 40th Avenue and High Street on an aggravated assault report. Police spoke with a 35-year-old man who said while riding the No. 44 bus, another passenger stabbed him three times with a knife. The suspect then fled on foot with an unknown woman. The man had injuries to his chest, wrist and thigh.

Suspects with shotgun rob man
At 3:40 a.m. Sept. 27, police responded to the 8000 block of East 12th Avenue on a robbery report. Police spoke with a 19-year-old man who said two men approached him and one of them pointed a double-barrel shotgun at him and demanded money. The suspects took the man's wallet and cell phone and fled.

Man beaten by four suspects
At 11:49 p.m. Sept. 30, police responded to the 4000 block of Morrison Road on an aggravated assault report. Police spoke with a 44-year-old man who said while walking home, four men approached him and began beating him. They then fled in an unknown direction and the man was transported to Porter Hospital by one of his friends.

Mother tries to hit daughter's boyfriend with Jeep
At 11:19 p.m. Oct. 1, police responded to the 3100 block of West Cedar Avenue on a vehicular assault report. Police investigation revealed a 37-year-old woman driving a Jeep Grand Cherokee attempted to hit her daughter's 23-year-old boyfriend while he was parked in his vehicle. The case is still under investigation.

Cyclist snatches woman's purse
At 1:55 p.m. Sept. 25, police responded to the 2800 block of South Wabash Circle on a theft report. Police spoke with a 30-year-old woman who said she was walking on a bike path when a cyclist rode by her and grabbed her purse.

Men attempt break-in with resident inside
At 12:40 p.m. Sept. 25, police responded to the 3100 block of West Cedar Avenue on a burglary report. Police spoke with a 53-year-old woman who said two men attempted to break into her house through the rear door, but fled when they heard her inside. The door and frame were damaged.

TV, video equipment stolen
At 8:15 p.m. Sept. 28, police responded to the 600 block of South Osceola Street on a burglary report. Police spoke with a 32-year-old woman who said unknown suspect(s) broke into her house and took TV and video equipment from the bedroom.

Vehicle's hood, spark plugs pilfered
At 10 a.m. Sept. 30, police responded to the 1800 block of South Sunset Way on a theft report. Police investigation revealed unknown suspect(s) stole a carbon-fiber hood and spark plugs from a vehicle while it was parked in a driveway.

Suspects break-in through air conditioner
At 9:33 p.m. Sept. 30, police responded to the 600 block of Tennyson Street on a burglary report. Police investigation revealed unknown suspect(s) broke into a house by removing the air conditioner from a rear bedroom and stole various items.

House ransacked
At 3:22 p.m. Oct. 1, police responded to the 4600 block of West Nevada Place on a burglary report. Police investigation revealed unknown suspect(s) broke into a house by removing the screen of a kitchen window and ransacked the upstairs bedroom.
