It doesn't take a rocket scientist these days to understand that our country is rapidly evolving into a socialistic state. Many, if not most, homeowners associations (HOAs) appear to have led the way toward that ultimate end. Or even worse -- fascism. The proposed congressional "bailout" of the current economic crisis could cement that "end" in stone if our Congress is not very, very careful.
Homeowners Associations (HOAs) appear to have been created, i.e., government mandated, by our state legislatures to be basically socialistic or fascist almost from the very first day they were created. Here in my state of Colorado that day was in the year 1992. Nationally, socialism appears to have happened in HOAs over a period of the last forty years. Now, it seems that the governance of many, if not most, HOAs by their presidents and boards of directors has become decidedly dictatorial, i.e., fascist.
Our country was "born" as a Constitutional Federal Republic, not socialistic or fascist. So intelligent, rational, freedom-loving Americans can only wonder if past and current political decisions will result in a political revolution by a freedom-and-liberty-loving We The People in the very near future. If It does, we can only hope and pray that revolution will be peaceful, constructive, and unifying and will lead us back to our origins -- a Constitutional Federal Republic.
