N/M, 3 Years, Yellow Labrador/Heeler Mix
A few weeks ago MaxFund received a desperate call from a shelter in Pueblo. The news was that a wonderful, sweet little injured Lab mix was found and brought to their shelter. That would be me! MaxFund agreed to take me in because they specialize in injured strays and Pueblo has no vets on staff. I was taken to VRCC Hospital where it was discovered that I had been shot in the leg some months earlier! Youch! That can really hurt a fella!
The great orthopedic surgeons carefully pieced my rear leg back together, and I'm recovering very nicely indeed! The nice folks at MaxFund have to try to keep me quiet because I'm always trying to (happily) jump around.
I am ready for my forever home... I spent my first week out of the hospital with a nice foster family. I loved it there, and it was discovered that I'm great with other dogs and housebroken to boot! Come say Hi! I'm one of MaxFund's "Miracle Dogs".
Please come see me at the
MaxFund, 1025 Galapago Street, Denver, CO 80204, 303-595-4917. It costs $75 to adopt me, and that includes current shots except rabies. This also includes my being chipped, and I am already spayed.
The
MaxFund is a non-profit organization that was established in 1988 to provide medical care for injured pets with no known owners, and to seek out new homes for these animals once they have recovered. The MaxFund is a no-kill dog and cat shelter. MaxFund assists hundreds of people and animals each year by trying to make the correct match between owner and pet.
The MaxFund is a
TRUE no-kill shelter. There is no pre-sorting of animals into "adoptable" and "non-adoptable" categories, discarding the so-called "unadoptable." The MaxFund takes every animal it has the space for.
EVERY animal is kept until its owner is found or it is placed in a new adoptive home.
