"Purple Power"
Contributed by: Michael Reneau on 5/31/2008

Togetherness, is what the Colorado Rockies have brought families, fans, and everyone in the state. A group of players that play the game the correct way with passion, teamwork, and that never give up attitude. I love the Rockies for all of these things. There is no ego just a team that believes that they are going to win every night and where every player is a key part of that. I admire the fact that even though Coors field was empty for the past couple of years this team still embraced all the fans that returned when success came last year. Yeah they did not win the World Series but they gave everyone in this city the ride of their life last Rocktober. We know have nicknames to call of players bye: TULO, The Toddfather, Big Daddy, Cookie, and Tito.
This season has gotten off to a rocky start but I believe in Purple Power , this team has shown us that when healthy and together there is no telling what they can do. I am a Rockies fan and that will never change, this team made fans of many who never knew what a great game baseball really is. I appreciate the opportunity to share how I feel about the Rockies, to the city of Denver and the state of Colorado let us not give up on this remarkable team there is still a lot of time left. Lets bring Purple Power back to LoDo and believe in another Rocktober. GO ROCKIES!
