Coed Dodgeball Tournament Raises Over $17,000
Contributed by: Mike Downey on 12/6/2006

More than 200 participants came out to DU's Gates Field House for a night of fun-filled dodgeball, beer and food. The event raised over $17,000 for charity, which is a 100% improvement over 2005.

Sponsors included Cherry Creek North, David Hicks Brokerage, Crosbie Real Estate Group, 1st Source Staffing, Danka, Bally Total Fitness, Bud Light, and Kroenke Sports Enterprises.

The Event Planning Committee was Sara Avery from Denver, CO, Heather & Steve Young from Arvada, CO, and Kelley Smith, a recent graduate of The University of Denver. The team put in countless hours, overcame many obstacles including a change of venue less than a month before the event, team registration and bracketing hardships, and many other challenges. Overall, the event was a success and everyone is excited for next year!
