Coca-Cola quenches fans' thrist for season tickets
Contributed by: Brady Kellogg on 5/5/2006

Rich and Diane Debella of Superior remember climbing the steps of INVESCO Field at Mile High the last time they went to a Broncos home game.

They don't remember the section or seat number, they just known they were in the last row of the stadium - their backs against the wall.

But the couple still looks fondly on that game - one of the rare trips to see the Broncos in their 11 years of marriage. That's why their new,United Club Levelseason tickets will be cherished throughout the 2006 season.

The Debella's won the tickets at an Al Wilson Party April 25 at ESPN Zone in Denver. The party was hosted by Coca-Cola, with more than 200 guests winning spots through an "under the cap promotion." During the 2005 football season, the underside of special orange caps on 2-liters of Coca-Cola were marked with the letters B-R-O-N-C-O-S, with different letters corresponding to different prizes including the aforementioned party invitations, Coca-Cola/Broncos merchandise, ESPN Zone menu items and free Coca-Cola products.

More party invitations were given out through a random second chance drawing.

Fans won hats, calendars and t-shirts through drawings at the ESPN Zone event, but the Debella's were the big winner, grabbing tickets with the night's final drawing.

Wilson, a defensive captain who went to the Pro Bowl following the 2005 season, answered questions and signed autographs for fans before congratulating the Debella's on their win.

"This is the first time we've met any Broncos player," Rich said.

Wilson also addressed many topics including the media, the NFL Draft, halftime speeches and the team's loss in the AFC Championship game with 850 KOA's Alan Roach.

In the interview, he made his intentions known for the 2006 season.

When a guest asked if he should bet his house on the Broncos winning the Super Bowl, Wilson smiled.

"I wouldn't say bet the house, but you can bet half of it," he said.

Unfortunately for their neighbors, the Debella's home is now off limit for viewing parties on game days.
