Denver, Colo. The Denver Barbarians Rugby Club and the University of Denver announced today that Eddie O'Sullivan, former head coach of Ireland's rugby team and Assistant Coach of the United States rugby team, would conduct a rugby skills camp for high school and collegiate coaches and players at the University of Denver, September 5 - 7, 2008.
Eddie O'Sullivan has been widely acknowledged as one of the game's most professionally thorough and innovative coaches, yielding the record dividends of 10 successive victories before a Six Nations Grand Slam defeat by England in March 2002.
In addition to clinching a quarterfinal place in World Cup 2003, O'Sullivan led Ireland to their first Triple Crown triumph in 19 years and beat South Africa for the first time since 1965. He was appointed as Assistant Coach to the British & Irish Lions Squad that toured New Zealand in 2005.
He coached Ireland to three Triple Crowns, and so nearly secured Ireland's first ever Six Nations Championship at the end of the 2007 season, only to be beaten into second
place in the last minute by France.
David Hodges, Head Coach of the Denver Barbarians Rugby Club, will be assisting Eddie O'Sullivan throughout the camp. David is an All-American Rugby player, All-American football player, former USA rugby team (Eagles) member, with more than 50 international match appearances to his credit and was a professional rugby player for the Llanelli Scarlets (Wales) rugby team.
