For the sixth-straight year, the Ponderosa Mustangs galloped away with the Class 5A state wrestling title, scoring 160 points and two individual state titles to outdistance Loveland's 128 points.
One Loveland wrestler made it a night to remember, as Tyler Graff won his fourth state title by pinning Rocky Mountain's Tino Laureles in 1:33. The nearly-full Pepsi Center stood and cheered as Graff's armed was raised after the victory and then again on the podium.
Even more dominant than Ponderosa's effort came from Johnstown's Roosevelt High School which scored 186.5 points and two state champions in Class 3A. Centauri was far behind in second with 125 points.
Greeley's Northridge won the Class 4A title.
