Fans come out for Rockies rally
Contributed by: Erin Feese/YourHub.com on 10/31/2007

Rockies fans got to break out their purple shirts and rally towels for one last hurrah of the season at a rally Oct. 31at Skyline Park, near the 16th Street Mall in downtown Denver.

Although the World Series sweep still stings, the Rockies and their fans have cause to celebrate one of the most amazing seasons in the team's history -- not to mention the title of National League champs.

Some rally attendees came clad in their Halloween best, others proudly sported their Helton or Holliday jerseys.

Mayor John Hickenlooper (wearing his very own Rockies jersey, naturally), Gov. Bill Ritter and Rockies manager Clint Hurdle were a few of the dignitaries who turned out for the event to thank fans for their support. Rockies players Matt Holliday, Jason Hirsh, Jeff Francis and Garrett Atkins were among the Rockies players who came to celebrate with their fans.

Until next year ... Go Rockies!

That guy dressed up as Larry King was pretty awesome. Even had the CNN news ticker and caption. Super sweet. I'm sad I missed the rally.

Nice job on getting a photo of Larry King. That was the best costume I've seen so far this year!
