I subscribe to every fashion magazine known to man. This is about the time that they all are overloading us with the new trends for Spring and Summer fashion. As a makeup artist I thought it my duty to give Denver ladies a way to take these trends and simplify them into the perfect hot weather look!
- First, start with a great tinted moisturizer. It helps even out your skin tone, but it is still very natural and "sweat friendly".
- Gel blush is your new best friend! This stuff goes on and stays PUT! Dot a small amount on the apple (the fleshy part) of each cheek and BLEND.
- Metallics are very in Vogue this year, but they can REALLY emphasize wrinkles. Stay Safe and stick to a bronze powder. Dust it over your entire eyelid and lightly line under your eyes with an angled brush.
- Well-groomed eyebrows can completely change your face. Get the right shape, and they can make you look 10 years younger! Go to your favorite salon and get them waxed. Take with you a few magazine clips of brows you like (try to pick women that have your same shape face and coloring).
- Add some Individual eyelashes to give your look that "special something". They are much easier for the average woman to get right than a full strip of false eyelashes, and they look completely natural even up close. You can find them at any local beauty supply store for about $4. Follow up with a coat of mascara.
- Finish up your look with a good tinted lip-gloss. Lip-gloss gives everyone's lips extra volume, and amps up your natural lip color without looking like your trying too hard!
Well, I hope these tips help. Next time well dissect the "old Hollywood" look of the 40's and 50's. A great way to add glamour to a night out on the town!
