Top 10 wedding day makeup tips:

1. Sleep - Get plenty of "beauty rest" the night before the wedding. The best way to not look tired is to not be tired.

2. Restraint - Less is almost always more. This is especially true on your wedding day. Simple and elegant will never go out of style. Avoid a "what was I thinking" moment 10 years from now.

3. Get a Clue - Take your que off of your wedding gown. If your dress is soft, flowing, and has "earth mother" written all over it, then maybe your makeup should have that soft, natural feel to it too! You get the idea.

4. Waterproof Mascara - This is a must. Tears will inevitably flow on this day. You don't want to look like The Bride of Frankenstein after the waterworks start.

5. Timing - Don't do anything drastic for the last few days before the wedding. This means no tanning (including spray on), no facials, no new cleansing or makeup products, and no eyebrow waxing. Stick to your normal routine; what you know works. It would be a huge bummer to have an adverse reaction and have to walk down the aisle all red and rashy!! (PS I do however recommend that you get your eyebrows waxed the week before!)

6. Low-maintenance lips - Long lasting lip wear is a great idea. This is a day filled with puckering up, and with little to no time to re-apply.

7. Play it up! - Play up your best facial feature. Pick one. If you decide to focus on your lips, go a little lighter on your eyes and vice versa.

8. Sparkling Pearly Whites - Spoil yourself with professional teeth whitening. You'll look and feel like a celebrity with a bright white smile.

9. Water - Make sure you are getting 8+ glasses of water per day for at least one week prior to the big day. Lay off the alcohol the night before too (no more than one drink). Your skin will thank you.

10. You! - Last but absolutely not least, don't forget that on your wedding day you want to look your very best while still looking like YOU. You're the woman he choose to become his wife - that's who he wants to see walking down the aisle.
