North Denver Doorbell
Greetings. I'm the editor at YourHub.com and I use this blog to share what's going on in my 'hood and beyond. If you're curious, the North Denver Doorbell is the regular honking we hear in our neighborhood as motorists approach alley intersections or when they don't feel like getting out of their cars to politely knock or ring a doorbell.

What's the most clever Halloween costume you've seen this year?
I tend to like topical, albeit controversial, get-ups. Last year, two of my friends dressed up as
John Mark Karr
and
Jon-Benet Ramsey
. It's eerie what shaving off a beard and
wearing your waistband across your belly button
can do.
This year, my hat's off to
Chris Welch
, of Brighton. He was Dick in a box. Someone had to do it, right?
I spotted Chris at
The Ginn Mill
on Saturday night. When I complimented him, he offered to show me the contentsof his box. Disgusted and fascinated all at once, I retreated to my friend
Marc
nearby and gave the OK.
What was revealed? A picture of
Dick Cheney.
If you've been unimpressed with seeing the same five costumes around town this weekend, let me introduce you to YourHub.com user
Garrett Spradlin
.
His project -- costume doesn't do it justice -- will impress you.
Happy Halloween!
