Blog Entry 55 of 65 Different Rhymes for Different Times
Pretty much just some street-type rhymin' goin' on here. Some rhymes might have proper grammar, but most of 'em probably won't. Nothin' fancy. Kinda just however I'm feelin' at any given time. Sometimes there'll be an explanation for the rhyme, sometimes there won't be. Not a whole lot of words endin' in the letter "g". Hopefully nobody ever gets offended by anything I write. That is definitely not my intention. Just kinda writin' out my feelings in rhyme, that's all.

I want to be

This is for all my babies. No matter how old they are, they will always be my little babies.

I want to be your hero
I want my words to be desired
I want to be loved
respected and admired
I want to be looked up to
my advice to be wanted
I will help you in your battles
and stand undaunted

I want to be your hero
the one that you seek
In your moments of triumph
and when you're feeling weak
I want you to talk to me
and to know I'll believe you
I'll always have your back
and never will I leave you

I want to be your hero
the one you think about
when you're thinking of self-destruction
and in all your times of doubt
When you think you're all alone
when you think nobody's there
I want you to always know
that I will always care

I want to be your hero
over and over again
I want to make you good women
I want to make you good men
I want you to understand
the only dream I've ever had
is to be your best friend
your hero, your dad

"Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres."
-- 1 Corinthians 13:4-7
