Celebrating the Black Arts Festival
Contributed by: Randy Roebuck   on 7/18/2007

The Black Arts Festival was held this past weekend at City Park. In this its 21st year, the Black Arts Festival is an event that celebrates Black culture from all corners of the world. Types of art on display included pictures, sculptures, dance , and much more. There were four stages for music and dance performances as well as numerous activities for children. One of the major highlights of the festival was a drum and drill team competition. The Black Arts Festival is not only a great event for African Americans, it is a great event for all people interested in embracing a wonderful and different culture.
