Greetings. I'm the editor at YourHub.com and I use this blog to share what's going on in my 'hood and beyond. If you're curious, the North Denver Doorbell is the regular honking we hear in our neighborhood as motorists approach alley intersections or when they don't feel like getting out of their cars to politely knock or ring a doorbell.

I know, I know. I've been trying to ignore the approaching Labor Day Weekend too.

So far, I haven't figured out the whole stopping time thing, so this is my consolation: a roundup of events going on in the Denver metro area during the holiday weekend. Turns out A Taste of Colorado isn't the only place to be.

I wouldn't dare stand between you and a turkey leg, but once you're Tilt-a-Whirled out, there are other places where you can tango with the sun or hide from the heat.Among my findings are a chili cook-off, Coca-Cola memorabilia swap and bald eagle nest-viewing. There's also a fundraiser for the Bingham Memorial Foundation.
