Recovery Retreat for Women Survivors of Trauma

What:	This retreat provides an affirming and open forum for women with a history of domestic violence or sexual trauma to take safe steps toward recovering the personal and interpersonal confidence often lost in the aftermath of trauma. The nourishing wilderness environment and support of others in a similar space provides a comfortable opportunity to practice new ways of being with one's self, others and unfamiliar situations. At least one of the two staff members will have a Masters degree in counseling psychology; both staff have extensive experience working with survivors in a wilderness setting. This course is designed to accommodate a wide range of physical abilities and outdoor experience and need-based financial aid is available. Offered by The Women's Wilderness Institute.
