Denver's own Liz Masterson, cowgirl singer, poet and yodeler, recently won the Academy of Western Artists "Western Album of the Year" for her latest CD Roads to Colorado. Masterson has been singing Western music since 1982 and heads up the Cowboy Poetry Gathering each January at the Arvada Center.
