The American Cancer Society received a $10,000 donation from Dr.
Alan Feiner, chief of the Medical Oncology/Hematology Department at Rose Medical Center. Dr. Feiner was recognized for this donation last week at the Stapleton/Park Hill Relay for Life.
Dr. Feiner made the donation on behalf of Feiner's Fighters, a Relay For Life team of co-workers from Rose Medical Center, formed in his honor. This team decided to participate in the Relay For Life to honor and remember their oncology patients and all friends and family who are battling the disease.
"Dr. Feiner's compassion and dedication to his cancer patients is absolutely amazing, and he has touched so many lives over his years of practice," said
Esther Edwards, RN and team captain for Feiner's Fighters." Not only has he made a generous contribution to the American Cancer Society and devoted his time at Relay For Life, but he makes numerous contributions everyday treating his cancer patients. I am honored to work with him and to know him."
Dr. Feiner is a medical oncologist and hematologist at the Rocky Mountain Cancer Centers, and he is currently the chief of the Medical Oncology/ Hematology Department at Rose Medical Center. He has practiced in this field for 30 years and is regularly ranked as one of Denver's "Top Docs" in hematology and oncology by

"I became a hematologist/ oncologist because of my desire to help others, and I strive to treat all of my patients as if they were members of my family," said Dr. Feiner. "I'm inspired everyday by the people I work with and the amazing things we are able to do for our patients, and I hope this donation will aid the American Cancer Society in its noble mission."
The Relay For Life is an evening for individuals who want to celebrate with cancer survivors and caregivers, remember those who have lost their battle with cancer and fight back to find a cure for cancer.
