WHY I LOVE THE ROCKIES

My love for the Rockies goes back for quite a few years. I am a loyal fan through the thick and thin of it all. As a senior citizen, this is a very fun sport to enjoy. Even when I had knee replacement surgery last year, I came to games using your wheel chair service. What a wonderful benefit this provides for those who want to participate in the games and otherwise could not. These volunteers (?) were very, very accommodating and personable. It was on one of these times that we saw Matsui and I was able to shake his hand. My 14 yr old granddaughter couldn't believe how "giddy" (her words) her grandmother was for having had that opportunity.
What I enjoy is how a person gets to know a little about each player by announcers, newspaper, etc. and therefore you feel a part of the "family". I love the whole atmosphere that the Rockies bring. I find myself being defensive of each player when some negative is spoken by those who are not committed to the team. TULO is just plain amazing. What a God given talent he has. Holliday, a powerful hitter(sunflower seeds and all) . Helton, Adkins, Torrealba, Hawpe, and all the others, they are such outstanding athletes. You don't hear on the sports TV or in the newspaper any negative behavior reports. Our youth can look up to them--for this is how it should be.

Every year the same (old) lady friends and myself make sure we go to opening day. In the past we have stood in lines in February to get the best seats for different games.
With summer comes the Rockies season which is my favorite time of year. When you go year after year, you feel apart of the team and I LOVE IT!!!!!
