The Alliance for Sustainable Colorado (www.sustainablecolorado.org), a non-profit organization dedicated to advancing environmental sustainability in Colorado, will team up with John Elway's Colorado Crush and the PepsiCenter to promote an evening of sustainable family fun, as the Crush face off against the New York Dragons.
Festivities at the ESPN-televised arena football game kick off Monday, June 2, 2008, at 8:00 pm at the PepsiCenter, and fans are encouraged to wear green to show their support for environmental sustainability.
The Alliance and the Crush are also offering a special discount voucher-which is good for two tickets worth $40-for a contribution of $10 or more to the Alliance for Sustainable Colorado.
In March, the PepsiCenter became the first sports arena in the United States to claim "100 percent Green" status, when it announced that it will buy enough renewable energy to offset all electricity used at the arena.
"We are proud of the blue and orange of the Colorado Crush, but on June 2, we want fans to turn the gridiron green to show our support for a sustainable future in Colorado," said Crush Quarterback John Dutton. "By working together, we can make a difference-for our environment and our children."

"The Colorado Crush know that winning is a team effort and that is why we are so proud to team up with the Arena Football League's most exciting lineup," said John Powers, chairman of the Alliance for Sustainable Colorado. "The Alliance is also committed to fostering great teamwork building a winning and prosperous future for all Coloradoans."
