My blog will be a place where I can write about anything and have fun. It may be about politics, life, food, or anything that my mind takes me to. I don't claim to be an expert on anything. I obtain my information from various places and what I write will be my feeling and opinions at that time. I am retired and have 67 years of life behind me. This includes military service, 45 years of experience in the working world, and married life.

Six month challenge is complete

Six months ago, November 12th, the challenge was put out, "take a photo a day for six months and post it on YourHub.com." I took up the challenge and today is the final day. Mission accomplished!

Some days it was fun. Other days it was a chore. I am glad it is complete. It was a disapointment that there were not many participants. Even the challenger gave up on April 6th. That left me as the only remaining participant. The only reason I continued was for my own satisfaction that I was able to complete the challenge.

What happens now? I guess that is up to YourHub. In my opinion YourHub has become stale. At one time there was a group of contributors that posted on a consistent timeframe and they were enjoyable to read and follow. Now some have moved to other interests and the remaining only post on occasion. If there are new contributors they haven't come on my radar screen. Someone needs to revive some life into YourHub and make it an interesting product again.

In conclusion, as a whole I enjoyed the challenge and I will still post on occasion.

Way to go Tom! Not sure what to say about the luster leaving yourhub, but I feel the same.

Tom, I bow to your superior dedication to the project. I agree about the stale feeling of YourHub.com lately. Since the Rocky closed in February, we've been working nonstop to get aligned with the Denver Post and create a completely new Web site and print experience that will be easier to use and hopefully draw in many more regular writers. These changes will roll out in the coming months, so I hope you stick around to see what happens.
