I have eaten at Sunrise-Sunset restaurant in the Denver metro area many times in the last 10 years. They have three locations, primarily on the west side of Denver. Twenty-five years of serving eggs and pancakes is quite a feat in these times. The locations serve only breakfast and lunch and close at 2 pm. I would say Sunrise-Sunset concentrates on the breakfast crowd and the lunch menu is to make the day complete.
I have dined at all three of their locations and one of my measures is the cleanliness of the restrooms. I never encountered a messy restroom at any of my visits. Another thing I look for is the condition of the silverware. For example, is there ever dried on food left on the fork or knife? The wait staff has always been friendly and professional. Some have been there a long time.
Most of my visits have been for breakfast. There is not much you can say about eggs, bacon, hash browns and sausage. They do have a black bean burrito which I think is very tasty. This is a vegetarian burrito with scrambled eggs or not, topped with green chili, lettuce and tomatoes. If you order pancakes expect to receive large cakes. I am a coffee addict and I think the coffee is good and many refills are in line.
Sunrise-Sunset does have a web site
(link). A menu is available on their website. The selection is very broad. Prices are about average for an establishment of this kind. My wife and I can have breakfast and spend around twenty dollars. On occasion you will find a money saving coupon in the local papers and a coupon is available on the website. Parking is ample.
If you are looking for different places to eat at, I suggest you try Sunrise-Sunset in the Lakewood area just west of Denver. I don't think you will be disappointed.
