Rolling Thunder Chapter 1 Colorado put smiles on a lot of faces, starting with the presentation to
Robin Weber for her support of our chapter with helping to buy merchandise for the State Veterans Nursing Home. We were well received by the management staff and employees at the K-Mart Store 3770 W. Evans Ave., Denver, CO 80219 (Federal and Evans) Thanks to Robin Weber at K-mart that offered her employee discount on top of the savings for items on sale, she even donated $20.00 on the spot to go towards our purchase.
Robin was also present her 20 years of service pin at the same time. From there, we went to Colorado State & Veterans Nursing Home 1919 Quentin St Aurora, CO 80045, again we were well received. The group was met by a resident of the home, his name was
Ernie and he gave us a short tour of the home before meeting with
Melissa Blair the activities director. We met several residents of the veterans home and took Christmas pictures with some.
