Helping to celebrate America 's freedom, lulu's furniture & décor this month is giving shoppers a little freedom from taxes.

Throughout the month of July, the classically hip furniture and décor store will cover the sales tax on any item that people choose to purchase, including sofas, chairs, tables, candles, pillows, glassware, artwork and many other items.

In addition, shoppers can win up to an additional 10% off their purchases as part of a trivia game about America.

"The economy is adding a little too much 'blue' to our red-and-white for the Fourth, so we wanted to provide a spark of relief for shoppers by paying their sales tax," says Christy Vranesic Brant, owner and founder of lulu's furniture & décor. "And with all of the colorful inspiration that comes from summer, now is a great time for people to explore our ever-changing selection of unique accessories and furniture items such as tables made out of reclaimed bowling-alley-wood floors."

lulu's furniture & décor will be closed on July 4, but otherwise it is open Monday-Saturday 10 a.m.-5 p.m. and Sundays and evenings by appointment. It is a neighborhood boutique located in the University Hills shopping plaza, 2553 South Colorado Blvd., just north of Yale.
