Dr. Eugene Mark Rosenthall and his staff at The Center for Foot and Ankle Care at Rose Medical Center understand the importance of a good pair of shoes. That's why they dug deep to collect more than 200 pairs of new or gently used shoes for children, men and women. Dr. Rosenthall plans to donate the shoes to the Denver Rescue Mission.
"The holidays are a time for giving and doing what you can to help the larger community," said Dr. Rosenthall. "We know that it's been a difficult year for many people, and this is one simple way that we can help out and make the Denver community a little better off in 2009."
This is the second year of Dr. Rosenthall's shoe drive, and this year they encouraged their patients and Rose Medical Center staff to donate as well.
"Rose really jumped on board for this year's shoe drive," Dr. Rosenthall said. "The Rose employees have donated a lot, and we were so happy to have their participation so we can make an even bigger impact this year."
