Police blotter: Man saw thief drive off

GOLF CLUBS, IPOD STOLEN
A resident of the 0-100 block of Bannock Street reported the break-in of a car parked at the home on April 20. Between 1 and 9 a.m., someone broke in and stole a set of golf clubs and an iPod valued at a total of $1,750.

STEREO STOLEN FROM CAR
A resident of the 2700 block of West Wesley Avenue reported the theft of a car stereo system on April 17. The report stated between 6:30 and 8 p.m., someone entered the car and removed the stereo, valued at $350. There was no indication of forced entry.

OWNER SAW THIEF DRIVE AWAY
A resident of the 8200 block of Fairmount Drive reported the theft of built-in television and stereo from a 2000 Ford Excursion on April 17. The resident said he heard his vehicle alarm sound about 1 or 2 a.m., and saw a dark-colored Honda with black wheels speed off from the scene. A window was broken to gain entry and the stolen items were valued at $800.

JEEP BREAK-IN REPORTED
A Denver woman reported the break-in of a 2000 Jeep Cherokee parked at Kennedy Golf Course, 10500 East Hampden Avenue on April 17. A passenger side door was drilled through to gain entry and four backpacks, four purses, $350 cash and an iPod were stolen. The total loss was estimated at $950.

CD PLAYER, SPEAKERS STOLEN
A Lafayette woman reported the break-in of her 1996 Honda Accord parked on the 8400 block of East Hampden Avenue on April 20. Between 10 p.m. April 19 and 9 a.m. April 20 someone shattered a front passenger window and stole an in-dash CD player and speakers valued at $500. Window damage was estimated at $750.
