A snowblower is a handy thing
Contributed by: Karen Groves/YourHub.com on 12/21/2006

Jim Browne, a resident of Evergreen since 1971 was accompanied by his dogs during an early morning driveway clearing project Dec. 21. Browne recalled the blizzard of 1982 and thought that was the worst one. I was working as a geologist then and had to get to Greeley. Interstate 70 was closed and it was snowing hard. I took the frontage road in my 1979 Subaru.

"This snow is not too heavy, it's dry. But it's so deep the snowplow guys are either stuck or broke down. It's too deep to get through it. You get stuck in 5 feet."

Browne, who owns a landscape and maintenance business called Dastardly Deeds in Evergreen said he planned on going out later. "I want to check on some of my elderly customers, and make sure they're all right."
