Why: To launch a call-to-action to our youth; to inspire them; to emphasize the value of youth in creating the future; to showcase the importance of creating change with individual talents; to share the importance of having "three cups of tea with elders"; and to help make their voices heard in this era of hope and change in our country. "We want everyone - from teens to adults - to walk away from this concert and speaking event, knowing they can make a stand in their own communities for causes that inspire them - from human issues to social causes and environmental issues," said Greg Mortenson, Nobel Peace Prize nominee, founder of award winning international youth program
Pennies for Peace, and best-selling author of
Three Cups of Tea.
