Mountain View Police Chief Eric Gomez began the awards ceremony by presenting department awards for outstanding police work to former officers Dave Munoz, Jude Perez and Rudy Huerta. These officers have moved on to other departments where they continue to further their law enforcement careers.

Edgewater Police Chief Dan Keough also presented department awards for outstanding police work to officers Terry Ross, Steve Van De Weert, Dennis Cardenas and Thomas Rowley. Chief Keough also presented to Officer Matthew Reierson the coveted Employee of the Year award for his willingness to help and extend himself in the furtherance of the law enforcement mission.
