Hall accepts state & national appointments

Jefferson Center for Mental Health has a reputation for innovation and effectiveness. So does Dr. Harriet Hall, Ph.D., Jefferson Center's President and Chief Executive Officer.

Hall's leadership and vision continue earning her attention and respect from across the state and nation. Most recently, Governor Ritter appointed Hall to the Governor's Community Corrections Advisory Council which advises and assists the Division of Criminal Justice in analyzing and identifying problems or needs, recommend policy modifications or procedural changes, develop strategies and serve as a forum to address issues in community corrections.

In addition to her Colorado appointment, the national behavioral healthcare association, MHCA, Inc.,re-elected Dr. Hall to its Board of Directors for 2008. She will join her fellow board members and officers at MHCA's Board of Directors meeting, February 22, 2008, in St. Pete Beach, Florida.

"Dr. Hall will be a valuable asset to both of these organizations, just as she is for Jefferson Center and this community," said Kelley Daniel, Jefferson Center's Board Chairman. "Dr. Hall has committed herself to the people of our community for more than 25 years. Her passion for this community and others continues to earn her state and national recognition."

MHCA is an alliance of select nonprofit organizations that provide behavioral health and related services. Established in 1985, it is designed to strengthen members' competitive position, enhance their leadership capabilities and facilitate their strategic networking opportunities. Membership is by invitation and pertains to the organization with primary representation by the Chief Executive Officer.

Celebrating its 50th year, Jefferson Center for Mental Health serves individuals and families who are impacted by mental illness in Jefferson, Gilpin and Clear Creek Counties. The Center provides comprehensive, community-based mental health services to more than 6,000 people each year.

Jefferson Center serves the people throughout its three-county area with 300 staff in 20 locations as well as in numerous community settings such as schools, nursing homes, senior centers and other partner locations. It offers a variety of programs including: outpatient counseling, vocational services, and employee assistance programs. The Center provides mental health services and hope to people of all ages to foster recovery and resilience for individuals who have mental health problems, promoting a better quality of life and a healthy community. Its staff has expertise in numerous areas, including children and family issues, adults with serious mental illness, suicide prevention, early intervention, juvenile justice, and trauma treatment.
