Legos Meet Climate Connection-Let's Get Started!
Contributed by: Liz Keating on 9/29/2008

Rocky Mountain's Junior FIRST Lego League offers students up to age 9 the chance to solve current math and science issues using Legos. Teams of six children work for about four weeks to create a science-fair type display board illustrating what they learned and to build a logo model to depict their thoughts.
The "2008 Rocky Mountain Junior Lego League Expo" will be held November 8th. It will be very informal and everyone will get an award. It really is a non-competition. It is $25.00 to enter one team. Teams can buy the Lego kit designed for the problem for $95.00 or they can use their own Legos, OR they can buy the kit AND add their own Legos.
The 2008 Rocky Mountain Junior Lego League Expo will be held at Leawood Elementary school in Littleton on Saturday November 8th from 10AM-12PM. Teams will have a spot for their Lego model and their display board in a science fair setting so everyone can share their work. There will also be a real Lego robot built by a high school team so the kiddos can see what the "big" kids build to solve the same "Climate Connection" FIRST Lego League problem.
