John F. Kennedy High School Proudly Presents . . .
Contributed by: Terri Murphy on 2/15/2007

Actors, dancers, and musicians are feverishly rehearsing for the March 1st opening of Disney's High School Musical. Curtains open at 7:00 pm on March 1st, 2nd, and 3rd, for this Broadway Production. Support live theater in your neighborhood by coming more than once!

Tickets are available at the Treasurer's Office or at the door: $7 for adults, $5 for students and seniors, children 3 and under are free. Come early because there is limited seating of up to 1500.

Kennedy's version of the musical has variations of all the songs in the movie and some added extras, including dancing specials (compliments of Ms. Ponzio with the help of Rachael Diaz and Vanessa Aguilar).

Sadly for us, this will be band teacher Mr. Mongrain's last musical in his 30+ year teaching career. Seniors Esteban Romero (Bass), Leon Hayes (Drums), Daniel Medina (Guitar), and Junior Karissa Godin (Piano) make-up the band in the pit.

Seniors Amber Eickman and John "Superman" Vigil will play the Thespian Duo of Sharpay and Ryan Evens. Gabriella Montez is played by Senior Apphia Perkins, and Troy Bolton will be played by Junior Zack Murphy. Laura DeMoulin and Tom Lynch (faculty at JFK) will be playing the roles of Ms. Darbus and Coach Bolton.

The Cast would like to send a special thanks to Mrs. Doherty (Vocals), Ms. Ponzio (Dance), Mr. Mongrain (Band), and over all Mrs. Compton (Director and Tech Supervisor) for all the hard work that they have put into this show.
