Popular Denver artist and Edgewater resident DD LaRue recently won best in show at the International Art of the Dog art show at the American Kennel Club in St. Louis, Mo. Her sculpture of President Bush's Scottish terrier, Barney, savaging a model of the globe as if it were a doggie toy has been purchased by the AKC and will be exhibited in their Museum of the Dog.
