Give more than sunglasses this Mother’s Day
Contributed by: Beth Jahnigen on 4/25/2007

Edgewater, Colorado-based Optic Nerve has a gift idea for women of all ages this Mother's Day. To support its program partnership with Susan G. Komen for the Cure, Optic Nerve has produced a special edition sunglass called the Toby.

Named after Optic Nerve's founder's mother, Toby Cotton, the sunglasses and partnership are dedicated to Toby, who recently lost her 17-year battle with breast cancer. During 2007, Optic Nerve will support Komen for the Cure by donating $4 from each pair of Toby sunglasses sold with a guaranteed minimum donation of $25,000.

"Like millions of people, my family has been tragically affected by breast cancer," said Bill Cotton, founder and president of Optic Nerve. "I am honored to do my part to help fight this terrible disease."

The Toby was developed with Optic Nerve's unique TORIC technology. By giving the glass a 10 x 4.5 base curve lens, Optic Nerve is able to produce a look that is trendy and oversized, yet sleek. The result is a truly ergonomic design that fits most women's face shapes and sizes equally well.

The side of the Toby is adorned with the signature "Pink Ribbon" and comes in two colors - black and white. Optic Nerve's Pink Ribbon sunglasses are available to consumers through December 31, 2007 and cost $40.

To purchase the Toby Pink Ribbon sunglasses or find a local dealer, visit www.nerveusa.com.
