On Dec. 15 the Emergency Services Public Information Officers of Colorado (ESPIOC) honored their choices of media representatives in broadcast and print journalism that stood out from their peers in 2005.  These individuals were noted for their leadership in excellent reporting as well as their professional work relationships with public information personnel. 

YourHub.com was selected to receive a special award to highlight the innovation and importance of its existence.  The special acheivement award was presented to Travis Henry, Managing Editor of YourHub.com to acknowledge this medium which promotes positive and targeted community news.

In addition, the 2005 Print Media Representative of the Year was selected -Sarah Langbein of the Rocky Mountain News.  The 2005 Broadcast Media Representative was also named - Lance Hernandez from KMGH, Channel 7.

ESPIOC is a Public Information Officers association specifically for emergency services professionals in the areas of police, fire, hospitals, emergency medial services, and district attorney's staff.  Each year this group gathers to honor selected members of the media at their December meeting.
