The Denver Saint Patrick's Day Parade Committee held its annual Coronation Ball on Feb. 11 in Denver and
Erin Leigh Hartman
was crowned Queen Colleen 2006. As her first public appearance as Queen Colleen 2006, Hartman and her court will ride in the The Bellco 44th Annual Denver Saint Patrick's Day Parade on Saturday, March 11 in Lower Downtown Denver.
Hartman, 24, is attending Red Rocks Community College and has a grade point average of 3.2. She is working toward an Associate's Degree in Elementary Education. Her future plans are to become a teacher and possibly teach at a U.S. Embassy/Foreign Military base. She was sponsored by The Colorado Emerald Society. She will reign as Queen Colleen for one year and will represent the Parade Committee at many community events.
The Bellco 44th Annual Denver Saint Patrick's Day Parade is the largest parade of its kind west of the Mississippi and this year's theme pays homage to Mardi Gras and the great city of New Orleans. With more than 200 groups and organizations participating in the Parade, there's something for everyone including Irish Step dancers; bag pipe bands; marching bands; equestrian groups; and ten floats in the Mardi Gras theme. There will also be some unusual entrants such as llamas and alpacas, and even longhorn cattle from the Greeley Independence Stampede.
Join us for the Bellco 44th Annual Denver Saint Patrick's Day Parade,
Saturday, March 11. The parade starts at 10 a.m. at 27th and Blake Streets and winds through Lower Downtown Denver to the Coors Field parking lot. For more information about the Bellco 44th Annual Denver Saint Patrick's Day Parade, visit
