Best Italian food in Wheat Ridge
Contributed by: Office of the Mayor on 7/20/2008

Hi Jerry (Mr. Mayor),

I'd like to take a minute to remind you to pick up a copy of the new Andiamo, Colorado's Italian/American Community Magazine and to congratulate our fellow Wheat Ridge Restauranteurs in recieving some of Andiamo's Primo Awards. These yearly awards are voted on by all readers of Andiamo and, this year, Wheat Ridge Restaurants won 3 of the 5 restaurant awards given out in Colorado.

First, I'll congratulate and thank my family and friends at Pietra's Pizzeria 9045 W. 44th Ave, for recieving the Primo Award for Best Pizza. After 44 years in business here in Wheat Ridge weare very proud to recieve this award in one of the toughest catagories in the food industry.

In the best deli category, Vinnola's Market and Deli, 7750 W 38th Ave., won their Primo Award to put next to their multiple awards from the Rocky Mountain news. They have been serving Wheat Ridge the finest in Italian Meats and cheeses as long as I can remember. Congratulations J'Laine and Joe.

And last, Another Wheat Ridge business, Vincenza's, 44th Ave. and Ammons, picked up their Primo for Best Bakery. Congrats to our neighbors at Vincenza's. (P.S. send cookies)

Just another reason to eat and be proud of our many established businesses in Wheat Ridge (and to rush that Wheat Ridge Rec Center Expansion).

Thanks for your time.

Sincerely,

Joe DeMott
Pietra's Pizzeria
