Edgewater officer honored by MADD


Edgewater Officer Terry Ross was awarded "Top Law Enforcement Officer in the Fight Against Impaired Driving 2005" by Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) during a special ceremony on May 15 in Golden.

Edgewater Officer Terry Ross is vigilant during his regular patrol shifts identifying and arresting DUI offenders. While also pursuing an undergraduate degree Officer Ross has worked extra dedicated DUI shifts, and sobriety checkpoints along with the Jefferson County Sheriffs Department.

For the past two years he has led the entire department in total DUI arrests, and for two consecutive years he has been the department’s nominee for the MADD recognition award.
