Consider horseshoe pits
Contributed by: Betsy Lyle on 3/16/2007

Edgewater wants a destination site, here's an idea that would satisfy the horseshoe pitchers as well as the ice skaters.

The horseshoe pitchers have eyed the vacant King Sooper's building ever since it closed. We could build the courts and would maintain them plus paying the city of Edgewater a monthly fee, arrangements could be worked out that should be satisfactory to the pitchers and the skaters. Edgewater could have the only indoor courts in the Metro area and we do welcome Hispanics, in fact a large portion of our pitchers are Hispanic.

We would like to have 5000 square feet for our courts, which we will build and maintain at no expense to Edgewater. We have leagues morning and night and weekend tournaments, there would be a busyness around that park that does not exhist except during the summer. Please consider the horseshoe pitchers, they need you!
