Edgewater Horseshoe Tournament

The Edgewater Open Horseshoe tournament was held at Citizens Park in Edgewater on June 23.

Larry Chaney from Lakewood was the tournament director.

Carl Carlton from Colorado City won Class A with a 71.67 percent overall average.

A total of 41 pitchers showed up to pitch in the 97 degree heat.

Dan Mc Grew from Bailey defeated Mel Yockstick from Arvada in a playoff for Class B title. Dave Morales from Brighton defeated Nina Perason from Thornton to win Class D. The Edgewater Horseshoe club hosted event for the 16th year.

At the Edgewater courts horseshoe pitching league are held on Tuesday and Wednesday nights. Call Larry Chaney 303-988-3607 to join.
