Charmaine in the city
I've called the Denver area home for more than two
decades now. But this urban/mountain city is still full of surprises. I'll be posting my adventures here, as I explore local eateries, shops and sharing birthday and vacation photos. I got a call this afternoon from
Katie
over at the Rocky Mountain Urgent Care telling me the resutls from my blood tests show I'm normal. However, she added, I have a higher amount of
platelets
in my blood, which is unusual but fine. I guess it's better to have more blood than not enough?
So Katie told me to follow-up with a primary care physician and further make sure my body is OK. See, I've never really had my own doctor since I went off to college and have now been living on my own. All I've had as far as medical advice was from the physicians and nurses at my college clinics. Sure, I had a family doctor when I was younger, but my family has moved so much in the last 10 years that we've really hadn't kept in touch with her.
Well, being that I am a big girl now, I've already established my own dentist and now going to establish my own doctor. So, the mystery continues with my shoulder pain. I'll have to make another appointment next week with my primary care doctor and see what she thinks.
