Blog Entry 81 of 93 Charmaine in the city

I've called the Denver area home for more than two
decades now. But this urban/mountain city is still full of surprises. I'll be posting my adventures here, as I explore local eateries, shops and sharing birthday and vacation photos. And once in a while, I'll throw in a music, movie or food review. I hope to keep this blog interactive, so don't be shy to suggest places I should visit. And check it out: I'm on Brendan's List. Rock on!

Hello, 2008
Contributed by: Charmaine Robledo/YourHub.com   on 12/31/2007

Goodbye 2007. Another year gone by. 365 days of memories with my family and friends. 525,600 minutes of laughter and tears. It's been great.

I had a fabulous Christmas. I spent time with my family and got new pants. (And Damon gave me an iPod! I joined the revolution.) Colorado Springs didn't have the snowstorm Denver had on Christmas, but we had a few flurries and it was a beautiful day.

Now, it's New Year's Eve and I'm looking forward to another year. I'm not making any resolutions. I know I blogged that in 2007 I would watch my weight, be smarter with my money, etc. I didn't do that. I guess I'm just not good at following through with resolutions. It's enough for me to focus on the routine of everyday life.

Damonand I will be moving either the middle or end of January. We're still looking for a place to live, and I'm hoping the weekend we do move it won't be snowing. (Like last year -- woo!) And like the procrastinator I am, I haven't even started packing. I will probably do it the week of our move.

I hope you all had a wonderful holiday and will have a safe New Year. I'll be spending my New Year's Eve at a friend's house, so nothing too outrageous for me this time. If you still need a few ideas for what to do tonight, check out Fairlight's blog.

Happy 2008!

Thank you for the new year's wishes, Katherine and Gladys. And Pat, I never put up a jersey for auction at any time, so I think you're confusing me with someone else. But Happy New Year to you and your friend Beth.

I was so happy to get your jersey at the auction last week. I gave it to Beth as a late Christmas present and she was thrilled.
