Charmaine in the city
I've called the Denver area home for more than two
decades now. But this urban/mountain city is still full of surprises. I'll be posting my adventures here, as I explore local eateries, shops and sharing birthday and vacation photos. Goodbye 2007. Another year gone by. 365 days of memories with my family and friends. 525,600 minutes of laughter and tears. It's been great.
I had a fabulous Christmas. I spent time with my family and got new pants. (And
Damon
gave me an iPod! I joined the revolution.) Colorado Springs didn't have the snowstorm Denver had on Christmas, but we had a few flurries and it was a beautiful day.
Now, it's New Year's Eve and I'm looking forward to another year. I'm not making any resolutions. I know I blogged that in 2007 I would watch my weight, be smarter with my money, etc. I didn't do that. I guess I'm just not good at following through with resolutions. It's enough for me to focus on the routine of everyday life.
Damonand I will be moving either the middle or end of January. We're still looking for a place to live, and I'm hoping the weekend we do move it won't be snowing. (Like last year -- woo!) And like the procrastinator I am, I haven't even started packing. I will probably do it the week of our move.
I hope you all had a wonderful holiday and will have a safe New Year. I'll be spending my New Year's Eve at a friend's house, so nothing too outrageous for me this time. If you still need a few ideas for what to do tonight, check out
