Panera Bread Offers Tasty Recipes to Keep the Holidays Bright

Tired of bringing the same old wine or fruitcake to a holiday party? Stressing over a homemade meal for the holidays on a limited budget? Panera Bread is offering delicious recipes to make your holidays a little brighter and easier, even on a budget.

From 9 - 11 a.m., on Friday, Dec. 5, at the Panera Bread bakery-cafe located in Highlands Ranch, 9579 S. University Blvd., and on Saturday, Dec. 6, at bakery-cafes located in Superior, 302 Center Drive, in the Denver Tech Center, 4955 S. Ulster Street, and in Greenwood Village, 5910 S. Holly St., representatives will demonstrate a few quick and easy recipes for holiday entertaining.

"The holidays can be such a hectic time for people, especially when people are worried about the economy," says Craig Flom, regional partner for the Colorado Panera Bread bakery-cafes . "Panera Bread wants to help make this holiday season bright for all of our patrons."

While learning quick and tasty holiday recipes, enjoy some hot chocolate and sample Panera Bread's handcrafted, freshly-baked holiday breads - a great gift idea to round out any gift basket.

This season, Panera Bread is offering, for a limited time, its beloved Holiday Bread, made from a sweet egg dough mixed with honey, golden raisins, cranberries and chocolate chips, filled with apples and cinnamon sugar, baked with a streusel topping and drizzled with icing. Panera will also feature the Cranberry Walnut Panettone bread, handcrafted from a sweet dough made with egg, sugar, butter and cream cheese, filled with candied orange peel, cranberries and walnuts and topped with Turbinado and powdered sugars.

Both holiday breads are available for purchase the first two weekends in December (Dec. 5 - 7 and Dec. 12 - 14) as well as the week before Christmas (Dec. 19 - Dec. 26). Holiday breads can be preordered by downloading a form from www.panera-colorado.com and delivering it to your local bakery-café two days prior to your event.

Panera offers a variety of other items, including a gift card, to satisfy even the most difficult person on your list.

About Panera Bread

Panera Bread is locally owned and operated by Breads of the World, L.L.C. Breads of the World currently owns and operates all 23 Colorado Panera Bread locations, including three Boulder County locations in Boulder, Superior and Longmont; 13 locations in the Denver metro area; four in Colorado Springs; and one each in Fort Collins and Loveland. The company founders studied the art of bread making extensively, traveling the country to learn directly from some of the best bakers in the world. Panera Bread offers two lines of breads, Artisan and Sourdough. Its hearty, handcrafted Artisan loaves are baked in traditional European-style stone deck ovens. Its tangy, robust Sourdough breads are made from a carefully nurtured Sourdough starter. Panera Bread uses only the highest quality ingredients baked fresh every day, in every bakery-cafe, using no preservatives.
