Rosh Hashanah Card-Making Workshop and Contest


Rose Community Foundation honors the Jewish New Year by sending a greeting card to grantees, donors and friends of the Foundation. The Foundation is partnering with The Mizel Center for Arts & Culture at the Robert E. Loup Jewish Community Center to produce its 2009 Rosh Hashanah Greeting Card through a free art workshop for children in grades 1 through 6:

Participate in this exciting free art workshop with noted artist Risa Towbin Aqua and your work may be selected for the annual Rose Community Foundation Rosh Hashanah card! We'll review the holiday and its symbols; have a short demonstration of watercolor tips and tricks, and work through a fun, creative process to produce a masterful card. The Foundation plans to reproduce one image and one greeting on its 2009 card. Both winning entrants will receive a $500 donation to charities of their choice through Rose Community Foundation.
