DENVER, Colo., - The Ritz-Carlton, Denver is recognized as one of the city's "Best Places to Work" for 2007, given out by the Denver Business Journal. Out of 83 total Denver companies striving to be named as a "Best Place to Work", the ladies and gentlemen of the pre-opening office of The Ritz-Carlton, Denver placed third in the small business category. The Ritz-Carlton, Denver the only hospitality company among all finalists, this is also its first time in the competition, since the pre-opening office opened in mid-2006 with just one employee.

General Manager Michael King says The Ritz-Carlton, Denver's pre-opening team is motivated to do their best work day in and day out. King says The Ritz-Carlton is known for promoting from within and new hires find a powerful, engaging company culture when they join The Ritz-Carlton team.

Quantum Market Research's survey measured employee responses to 40 attributes known to drive employee engagement. The 39 questions evaluated team effectiveness, retention risk, goal alignment, trust, manager effectiveness, feeling valued, etc.

The Ritz-Carlton, Denver is located at 1881 Curtis Street in downtown Denver and is scheduled to open in fall 2007. The hotel will be situated on the first 14 floors of a 19-story facility, which provides easy access to the 16 th Street Mall, as well as Coors Field and lower downtown. The hotel will include 202 guest rooms, including 47 suites and 32 Club Level rooms and one Ritz-Carlton Suite. The property also includes The Residences at The Ritz-Carlton, Denver.

Spacious guest rooms will measure more than 550 square feet each, making them the largest guest rooms in Denver. Lavishly furnished, they will include plush bedding and linens, five-fixture bathrooms, 24-hour room and valet service and high definition LCD televisions. The hotel will have 13,000 square feet of meeting space, including a 6,300 square foot ballroom, a junior ballroom, business center and lobby lounge. ELWAY'S is the hotel's signature restaurant, named for NFL Hall of Famer and Denver Bronco superstar John Elway.
