New West Physicians, a group practice of 47 primary care physicians serving the Front Range, is opening a new family practice office on the Porter Hospital campus. Dr. Arlis Adolf and Dr. Holly Burggraf, family physicians with obstetrics and dermatology backgrounds, respectively, have been hired to oversee the New West Physicians at Porter office, located at 850 East Harvard Ave., Suite 285. The new practice is scheduled to open on Dec. 5.

As family physicians, Drs. Adolf and Burggraf serve patients of all ages, including infants and senior citizens. Dr. Adolf is one of the few family physicians in the Denver area who continues to offer obstetric care, including delivering babies. Dr. Burggraf has advanced training in cosmetic dermatology including the use of lasers, chemical peels, microdermabrasion and skin rejuvenation techniques such as Botox® and Restylane. Her dermatology services are available to the general community as well as New West patients.
Dr. Adolf has been practicing family medicine in the Denver metro area for more than 20 years and also has been an associate clinical professor of family medicine at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center since 1987. She has served with many boards and professional organizations, including the Colorado Academy of Family Physicians where she was president in 1995-1995 and vice president in 1993-1994.
After a long career as a dental hygienist, Dr. Burggraf received her medical degree from the University of Colorado School of Medicine, where Dr. Adolf was one of her professors. Dr. Burggraf has practiced in rural and urban areas, even serving as team physician for the Eureka (Calif.) High School football team and cheerleading squads during her time in this underserved rural community. She spent two years practicing at a dermatology clinic, where she concentrated on surgical skin procedures, treatments for psoriasis and acne and all aspects of skin care and cosmetic dermatology.
