Vallagio scores big again with active adult buyers
Contributed by: Sean McAleavey on 6/9/2008

A new residential neighborhood can't be everything to everyone, but Vallagio at Inverness is sure leaving a positive impression on its' intended audience. Last week, the south metro Denver Transit Oriented Development collected numerous awards at The Building for Boomers: 50+ Housing Symposium, an event sponsored by the National Association of Home Builders.

Vallagio at Inverness received two Gold Awards, including one for Active Adult Housing Overall Community Midsize. The Moscato floorplan at Vallagio was also honored in the Active Adult Attached Home Design category for floorplans ranging up to 1,700-square feet. In addition to the two Gold Awards, Vallagio at Inverness was singled out for a Special Judges Award for Design Innovation at The 50+ Housing Symposium. Vallagio was one of two residential projects in the nation to be recognized with this prestigious honor.

"Awards start and end with great design and a product that suits the audience for which it was intended," said Jodi Bright, sales consultant at Metropolitan Homes, the developer of Vallagio at Inverness.

"While Vallagio was not designed specifically for any single age group, the neighborhood holds special appeal to active, successful adults looking for quality housing choices and a great location with access to business parks, leisure activities including great shopping and nearby restaurants, and mass transit access to downtown and attractions like Park Meadows and the entire Light Rail corridor."

Designed in conjunction with Kephart Community Planning and Architecture and the team at Metropolitan Homes, Vallagio is an ideal example of the direction in which urban housing trends are headed. With a pedestrian bridge leading from Vallagio directly to Light Rail, the entire city is at your disposal, from sporting events to arts and entertainment and fantastic nightspots in downtown Denver, all without ever removing your car from the garage.

A variety of low-maintenance housing choices abound at Vallagio. One-, two-, and three-bedroom designs encompass everything from trendy loft residences and flats all the way up to stately city rowhomes, with floorplans ranging from 743 to over 2,727-square feet and prices from the $200's. Residences at Vallagio are highlighted by classic exteriors, meticulously designed to mix seamlessly in a beautiful, park-like setting complete with landscaped gardens, public art, and a unique pedestrian orientation.
