Divine Equine Art at The Wildlife Experience
Contributed by: The Wildlife Experience on 11/28/2006

The Wildlife Experience is preparing to host an annual exhibition of the finest equine artwork. The Horse in Fine Art is an exhibition organized byThe American Academy of Equine Art, Inc., for The Wildlife Experience, and will be on display from January 20, 2007 - March 21, 2007.

The American Academy of Equine Art, Inc. is a non-profit organization dedicated to establishing a standard of excellence in the field of equine art. The AAEA mission is to broaden public recognition of American equine painting and sculpture through education, demonstrations, exhibitions, critiques and workshops. The Academy mounts annual exhibitions throughout the United States, and produces workshops in drawing, painting, sculpture and equine anatomy for anyone interested in equine art. Taught by professional equine artists, these courses provide a unique opportunity for students to study the horse and equine-related subjects first-hand from live models. Examples of artwork by Academy artist members can be seen on the AAEA website gallery at: www.aaea.net.

The Horse in Fine Art is not an open juried exhibition. It is by invitation only. Artwork has been procured from a small number of elite artists to set a high standard for future equine art exhibitions nationwide if not worldwide. To enhance the exhibition, several artists have been invited who are not members of the American Academy of Equine Art, Inc.

In addition to the American Academy of Equine Art' The Horse in Fine Art exhibit, The Wildlife Experience has assembled a show entitled Colorado Gold: A Cache of Animal Artists, which is comprised of works from AAEA artists in Colorado. Colorado Gold will be on display from January 27, 2007 through April 1, 2007. This exhibit also features works from artists of the Society of Animal Artists that are based in Colorado. The Society of Animal Artists' Art and the Animal will be on display at The Wildlife Experience from February 3, 2007 through April 1, 2007.
