The Society of Animal Artists 46 th Annual exhibition of
Art and the Animal opens at The Wildlife Experience on February 3, 2007. This annual exhibition promises to showcase the finest in wildlife art from around the world.
The Society of Animal Artists is a worldwide organization headquartered in New York City. Society members come from Africa, Asia, Australia, Europe, North America, and South America.
The mission of The Society of Animal Artists is to promote excellence in the portrayal of animals, domestic and/or wild, in art. The Society was founded in 1960. Over the past 40 years, works created by members of The Society of Animal Artists have established new standards of artistic excellence and respect, helping animal art to achieve a place of honor in the field of fine art.
Art and the Animal is the flagship of The Society of Animal Artists; it has been featured at more than 50 venues including museums and zoos, and art, cultural and science centers throughout North America.
Art and the Animal will be on display at The Wildlife Experience February 3, 2007 through April 1, 2007. David J. Wagner, PhD, is the Tour Director of

In addition to the Society of Animal Artists
Art and the Animal exhibit, The Wildlife Experience has assembled a show entitled
Colorado Gold: A Cache of Animal Artists, which is comprised of works from SAA artists in Colorado.
Colorado Gold will be on display from January 27, 2007 through April 1, 2007. This exhibit also features works from artists of the American Academy of Equine Art that are based in Colorado. The American Academy of Equine Art's
The Horse in Fine Art will be on display at The Wildlife Experience from January 20, 2007 through March 21, 2007.
