Fresh on the gallery scene
Contributed by: Janet Moore on 1/27/2007

Within that art enclave that is Englewood, there is a fresh look on the gallery scene. After a successful holiday season, many of the artist-members of Art-Nic, a co-operative gallery, voted to keep going. The gallery will continue operations in 2007 with an upgraded look.

All of our artists are Colorado residents. And the range of talent and merchandise is astounding. A visit to Art-Nic may introduce you to some things you have not seen in galleries before. Several artists offer raku pottery, but no artist's work is like any other's. Paintings include the little known medium of egg tempera along with the more familiar oils, acrylic and watercolor. Our photographers offer a selection that includes black-and-white photos and color-enhanced digital images.

One visit to Art-Nic is not enough. We're bringing in new artists and new merchandise all the time. Each visit is a new adventure in the visual arts. And a wonderful place to find those unique gifts. Remember that Valentine's Day is not far off!

A welcome addition to the exciting art community in Englewood, Art-Nic is located at 3995 S Broadway and is open Tues - Sat, 11 am to 6 pm. In up-coming months, we will be holding special receptions and special exhibits featuring our artists.
